Complaints Process

  1. Collect purchase confirmation, transaction reference, and travel documents.
  2. Submit written complaint to ASFINAG within 14 days of fine notice.
  3. Include: name, address, plate, date/time of alleged violation, transaction reference, description.
  4. ASFINAG response: 10-20 business days.
  5. If unresolved: escalate to Bundesverwaltungsgericht within stated deadline.
  6. For fines over €500: consider Austrian traffic law specialist.
