Since 2023, Austria uses a fully digital vignette. Your licence plate is registered in the ASFINAG database. No sticker is needed in your windscreen.
10-day (€9.90), 2-month (€29.00), and annual (€96.40) vignettes are available for passenger cars. Motorcycles have lower prices.
All vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes must have a valid vignette on Austrian motorways (A-roads) and expressways (S-roads). Fines start at €120.
The Brenner (A13), Tauern (A10), and Karawanken tunnel have additional section tolls not covered by the vignette. Budget accordingly.
